Permanent action. Deleting your account cannot be
undone. You can create a new account later with the same Google email,
but previous cloud data will not be restored.
How to delete in the app
- Open ScanBite on your Android or iOS device.
- Go to Settings (gear icon).
- Under Data & Privacy, tap Delete Account (visible when signed in with Google).
- Confirm with your Google account when prompted.
- Deletion completes on the device and our servers within a few minutes.
If you are not signed in, use Clear All Data in Settings to remove local meal history on that device only.
What we delete
- Firebase Authentication profile (Google sign-in link)
- Cloud backup (Firestore) including meal history synced to the cloud
- Meal photos stored in Firebase Storage for your account
- Subscription and trial profile stored in Firestore
- Local app data on the device where you confirm deletion (meals, wellness logs, correction learning cache, settings)
What may be retained
- A minimal deletion record (email reference, deletion timestamp, anonymized user ID) so you and app stores can verify the account was deleted — no meal photos or health logs.
- Stripe billing records required for tax, fraud prevention, and charge disputes (handled under Stripe’s retention policy).
- Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics or ad network logs outside our direct control (see Privacy Policy).
